Nothing is quite as biting as the first freeze in December. The harshness comes like a slap to the face for me. I am not a fan! In my lifetime, I think Miami is the only place I have lived where I could tolerate the two week winter. I realize I am in California now, but note I am in NORTHERN Cali. Really, I am only complaining about the non sun hours. This morning it was 30 degrees when I groaned all the way to my vehicle. Tonight, as I sit and type this from a tiny opening inside a blanket, I am missing humidity and heat.
