They Know What Is What

" A tiger

Don't lose no sleep

Don't need opinions

From a shellfish or a sheep

Don't you come for me

No, not today

You're calculated

I got your number

'Cause you're a joker

And I'm a courtside killer queen

And you will kiss the ring

You best believe."

~Katy Perry

Recently, I got to see a bit of the ugly side of the virtual world. It is not the first time, but I see it so rarely that it still shocks me a bit. This hater was not directing their spew at me, but to one of my friends. Now, she took it like a champ. She mixed politeness with sarcasm. Trust me when I say that she does not need defending. She has got it handled. I will admit that it hurt me though. I am too empathetic. In my head I get real protective, and want to surround my friends in this protective coating that keeps all the bad out. However, I learned a long time ago not to rob people of their experiences...positive, or negative.

The person with the issue hid behind an alt to make her type attack. Why? If you have an issue with a person, why not try step one and have a conversation? You can always mutually block, and then PRESTO they no longer exist. People make mistakes in their virtual lives. Everyone won't like, or understand you. Trolls exist just to cause havoc. Call a spade a spade and move on people. Real life can just throw so much at us. This second life is an escape. Keep it positive!
