Without You, There Is A Hole In My Soul

Well, I am back from a very short trip. The dogs and I loaded up for a trip to my mother's house. It was an early July 4th celebration. Here in the State of Texas, Independence Day pretty much embraces all the great Texan traditions. We rode horses, had a BBQ, many hours swimming, and some water skiing too. Sometimes, a visit home is needed, because there are just some things only a mother can make better.

There are things that only Tate can make better too. When I leave, or she does, I can feel that empty spot. I don't know what they call those moments in time ......between the spaces of seconds...that is when I miss her the most.
