Tonight, I was bored out of my mind. I was not feeling the process of doing a picture, and there are only so many times I can organize my inventory. It goes back to the issue that most of the company I enjoy is a Euro, or has a significant other at home twisting their ear to get off the computer. My time tonight was spent loitering on the Furillen Sim. If you have never tried it you should. Some of the oddest characters land there. Great for people watching. So a new friend said, "haha do a pic.". I told her I was not up for it, and soon after a person approached me. They brought up this blog and asked me which designers I actually like, or recommend. I had to recover from the shock that someone actually reads this nonsense. Then, I settled into the warmth of having my ego stroked a little bit. Don't tell Tate...she will smack that right out of me.
The hamster that spins the wheel in my head got to work. I had to explain to this guy that I don't wear things I don't like, so essentially anything I blog is a favorite. It seemed like legit reasoning, but I know he wanted the dirty deets. So, for anyone curious of my true favorite designers in SL...here it is:
ISUKA Tattoos - I love it all. They are the best tattoo creators by far in my opinion. The tattoos they put out are not gangsta, and I would say they are more artistic. I love ISUKA so much that I bought a Signature body so that I wouldn't miss a release. (They participate in the Signature Event.). The owners/management are really interactive on Flickr which is so encouraging when you are not an official blogger for them, but still love the product.
Drot Hair - They put out short haircuts. The thing I love about Drot is that I think they have the best two-tone hairs. They just fade really well. My only complaint is that the hairbase they include for mesh heads is TMP only. Some of the L'Etre hairbases work ok. SEVEN hairbases work even better.
ZOOM - For my avi, the ZOOM glasses fit best. I have even bought the female styles for my avatar, and they work. The HUD has nice color options. They just look great! I have tried out others in the past, but something always seems off with the fit. If ZOOM is at an event, I am buying. No demos required.
kunst - I have yet to venture off into the furniture section of kunst. They really have insanely detailed jewelry. The smoking accessories are awesome. The pipes are cool, and unique designs. The cigarettes come with so many options. You should seriously check out one of the HUDs. Another great point about kunst is the random stuff. It is so excellent for when you need props for a shoot. This store has another owner that is interactive on Flickr. If he sees something eye catching, he will tell you about it.
So, there is my list of the most outstanding creators in my opinion. I didn't list any clothing designers, because there are so many...and so many doing similar things. I have mad respect for anyone creating with mesh. It is something I don't know how to do. The list above are the folks that will add the pop to whatever clothing you pick for yourself.
