Most sound advice eventually leads to the words "let go of it.". It is always much easier said than done, right? I have many friends that live on a higher plane of thinking and awareness. You know, those folks you want to punch in the face as they find the silver lining in all the clouds.
I find that I do have to wallow in the muck of my bad decisions for awhile. I want to finger paint with it. When I emerge, I am unrecognizable by the filth of it. I have to go through this process, so I fully understand the consequences and ramifications. The burn into my mental pages allows for a memory, and hopefully, a lesson learned. Once I have fully tortured myself then I can let go. It is just how I roll.
